A Post-Protest Meet & Greet with the Head Guerilla of Rescue Our Democracy
We’re not hosting the protest — but we’re showing up in solidarity. Afterward, we’re inviting you to a community picnic just down the road. Come meet the Head Guerilla behind Rescue Our Democracy, learn about our mission, and explore ways to get involved locally.

🕯️ Moment of Silence for Ahmir Jolliff and Principal Dan Marburger
On January 4, 2024, Perry High School experienced a tragic shooting. Eleven-year-old sixth-grader Ahmir Jolliff, affectionately known as "Smiley," was killed during the attack. Principal Dan Marburger was critically injured while protecting students and passed away ten days later from his injuries.
During the Perry Perseverance Picnic, we will hold a moment of silence to honor their memories and stand in solidarity with the community.
You’ll meet fellow advocates, participate in a moment of silence for Perry schools, get updates on what we’re building together, and find out how to stay active beyond the protest. Whether you're just curious or ready to plug in — we’d love to meet you.
Let’s gather, grow, and keep going.
