We are a local volunteer-led chapter of Indivisible, a national network of community-based groups organizing for democracy and equity. While we’re not a standalone nonprofit, we’re fiscally sponsored under a 501(c)(4) umbrella and engage in non-partisan civic engagement.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. In an era of increasing division and disinformation, Rescue Our Democracy (ROD) stands as a grassroots movement committed to rebuilding the foundations of democracy — through education, protest readiness, civic empowerment, and collective action.

We believe that no issue can be solved — whether it’s reproductive freedom, climate justice, voting rights, or economic equity — without first protecting the democratic system that gives the people a voice.
