We are a local volunteer-led chapter of Indivisible, a national network of community-based groups organizing for democracy and equity. While we’re not a standalone nonprofit, we’re fiscally sponsored under a 501(c)(4) umbrella and engage in non-partisan civic engagement.
We’re living in a time when so many causes demand our attention—civil rights, economic justice, climate action, reproductive freedom, and more. But none of these fights will matter if we don’t first rescue our democracy. Without free and fair elections, without a government that listens to its people, and without the power to protest and make our voices heard, all other causes risk being silenced.
That’s why we’re here. Rescue Our Democracy is a space for organizing, educating, and taking action. Whether you’re an experienced activist or just getting started, we provide:

✅ How-to guides & resources – Learn about peaceful protesting, legal rights, and effective advocacy.
✅ A community of like-minded individuals – Connect with others who believe in defending democracy.
Why do we exist?
In order to have any rights that are currently under attack by this administration, we must first save the democracy itself. We can’t have immigrant rights without a free press, right? We can’t have reproductive rights without access to healthcare? And so on, and so on…everything is interconnected.
This site and group has been formed to fight for democracy in general, but are in the fight for all things that make up a model democracy and nation.
