Even in one-party rule, not every lawmaker agrees with the President all the time. Some represent swing districts, moderate voters, or have personal lines they won’t cross.

🔥 They only need to hear from enough of us to grow a spine.

• Organize local phone/email campaigns targeting key senators and representatives.
• Protest in their home districts. Flood their town halls.
• Highlight their names. Make them choose: country or party?

📢 2. Mobilize Mass Resistance

Public pressure works. Always has.

The Women’s March. George Floyd protests. March for Our Lives. These weren’t just signs in the street—they changed the national conversation and held the powerful in check.

🧠 One voice echoes. A million voices disrupt.

• Organize nonviolent protests. Join national days of action.
• Show up in numbers that can’t be ignored.
• Make it loud, make it visual, and make it unrelenting.

⚖️ 3. Use the Courts & States as Shields

The federal government may be compromised, but state attorneys general, local judges, and state legislatures can still fight back.

• Support state lawsuits challenging unconstitutional actions.
• Elect AGs who will defend your rights, not corporate power.
• Push for state-level protections on voting, privacy, abortion, and more.

🛡️ Think nationally, but sue locally.

🗳️ 4. Flip It Back in the Midterms

Presidents only get two years before the entire House is up for re-election. That’s your window. Even one flipped chamber can stop a runaway agenda.

• Volunteer.
• Knock doors.
• Register voters.
• Focus on turnout in rural, young, and marginalized communities.

⚠️ Don’t wait for “someone else” to save us. It’s us.

🧰 5. Prepare for Peaceful Direct Action

If democratic channels fail, the people still have power.

• Organize sit-ins, walkouts, coordinated nonviolent protests.
• Disrupt business as usual when rights are stripped.
• Support legal defense funds for activists and protesters.

✊ They fear the people when the people stop playing by their rules.

💡 6. Control the Narrative

Propaganda can’t thrive when truth goes viral. Use your platforms, however small, to call it like it is.

• Share stories.
• Create content.
• Educate your friends.
• Challenge disinfo.

🖊️ Our silence helps them. Our words can stop them.

🧱 7. Build Community Power Now

We don’t just fight—we build. Build networks that:

• Share resources
• Provide mutual aid
• Offer emotional support
• Protect the vulnerable

At 5%, we don’t just demand change—we make it inevitable.

So yes, celebrate. You earned that.

I need to say this, not because I want to scare anyone — but because I care too much not to.

This weekend’s protest on June 14 — yes, his birthday — lines up with something deeply disturbing. It also happens to be the Army’s birthday. That’s not a coincidence. That’s an opportunity, and I’m afraid the administration sees it that way too.

I believe they are preparing to use this weekend’s NO KINGS protests as a trigger point. I’m talking about activated MAGA crowds showing up to bait, escalate, provoke. I’m talking about potential embedded agitators — or even federal forces in disguise — trying to turn peaceful protest into chaos on camera. Why? Because it would give them cover. Cover to escalate. To clamp down. Even to declare martial law.

It sounds dramatic. But when nothing else has been done through proper, lawful channels — we need to be clear-eyed about what’s possible. This NO KINGS weekend may be staged – not negatively by us, but for MAGA to appear and disrupt.

And that’s why I’m begging you: be safe. Be alert. Be unshakeably peaceful. Your safety is the most important thing. We need you here for the long haul. And they know that, too.

I’ve put together a Protest Safety & De-Escalation Guide with everything you should know and bring with you — from what to pack, to what to do if tear gas is used, to how to keep your phone from turning into a tracking device.

If you’re attending a protest this weekend:

• Don’t go alone.
• Have an exit plan.
• Be cautious around anyone trying to rile up a crowd — they may not be on our side.
• And if you see something breaking bad? Sit down. Let them reveal themselves. You stay safe and visible and calm.

We are not pawns. We are the people.

To start, we streamlined and reorganized our site menu. Now, everything directly related to Rescue Our Democracy is neatly housed under the About ROD section. Whether you’re looking for our mission, team roles, or organizational updates, you’ll find it all in one place.

As a result, it’s easier than ever to locate essential information without getting lost in the shuffle.

New Writing Sections on the Site

Additionally, we’ve launched three distinct writing categories that invite a variety of voices into our shared mission:

• Editorials: These come straight from me—the Head Guerilla.
• Eye Witness: These are personal, first-hand accounts from folks who have protested, rallied, or stood up in ways worth remembering.
• Opinions: Our sharp-tongued content guerilla, Shade B., just released his first piece in this section. It’s a must-read.

If you’re eager to contribute, we’d love to feature your writing. Please send 2–3 samples so we can get a feel for your voice and alignment with our goals.

Building the Site’s Backbone

Behind the scenes, I’ve also been laying down infrastructure. Over the past few days, I created a skeletal structure of future pages the site may need later on. That way, if our schedule gets hectic, the foundation is already in place.

Consequently, we’re better equipped to respond quickly and efficiently when new demands arise.

Staff Progress and Site Growth

Meanwhile, our internal team continues to grow. We’ve recently welcomed our Databack Guerilla, and an official announcement will follow as soon as she lets us know how she’d like to be introduced. Furthermore, I’ll be interviewing a candidate tomorrow for the Echoback Guerilla role, who would manage our social media.

Highest Priority: Treasurer Needed

Right now, our most urgent staffing need is a Treasurer, also known as the Greenbacks Guerilla. If you—or someone you trust—has experience with bookkeeping or nonprofit finance, please reach out. Not only is this role vital, but it is also key to keeping our momentum strong and sustainable.
