Our Story
Rescue Our Democracy (ROD) began with a simple belief: democracy works best when citizens are informed, engaged, and empowered. Therefore, our founders started a grassroots effort to bring people together to protect and strengthen democratic norms. Over time, that effort grew into a full civic organization dedicated to education, advocacy, and participation.
How We Started
Our founders recognized that many Americans felt disconnected from government and unsure how to participate. As a result, they created ROD to provide:

- We became an official Indivisible.org affiliate, gaining resources and credibility.
- We launched comprehensive tools for voter education and civic participation.
- Additionally, we built a transparent editorial platform to share facts, analysis, and guidance.
Moreover, we have continued to grow while remaining rooted in grassroots values, ensuring that every project reflects our mission to strengthen democracy.
