Welcome to the Rescue Our Democracy Events Calendar—your go-to space for upcoming rallies, town halls, community meetings, volunteer opportunities, and more. Right now, we’re spotlighting events happening across Iowa and SW California, where our movement is rooted and growing strong. But democracy doesn’t stop at state lines. If you’d like to help maintain an events calendar for your own state, we’d love to connect! Reach out to us at volunteer@rescueourdemocracy.com to get started.

Grinnell Meet and Greet with Zach Wahls – Candidate for U.S. Senate
Join US Senate candidate Zach Wahls for a meet-and-greet in Grinnell! Zach is a sixth-generation Iowan, a problem-solving State Senator, and new dad running to bring a new generation of leadership to the U.S. Senate to take on the special interests making our lives harder and deliver for hard-working Iowans.
Zach will be in Grinnell on Saturday, September 13th to share more about his campaign and hear from you about how we build a new path forward for Iowa and the country. This event is free and open to the public and will be held at Saints Rest Coffee House, 917 Broad St, Grinnell.
We’re encouraging attendees to bring resource donations in exchange for a campaign yard sign. We are collecting donations for Mid-Iowa Community Action. Here is a list of the items they need most:
- skillet meals (hamburger helper)
- pancake mix, syrup
- canned meats
- canned fruits
- diced tomatoes
- peanut butter and jelly
- shampoo, body wash, deodorant
This calendar is more than a list of dates—it’s a living map of action, connection, and collective power. Whether you’re showing up for the first time or organizing on the frontlines, you are part of something bigger. Let’s keep building momentum together, one event—and one voice—at a time.
